In the late 1990s, our founder Alexander (Sandro) Beridze became the first person to introduce premium Italian coffee to Georgia, and soon after pioneered the country’s professional coffee machine business. Almost every business area of BB Company was started by him. Today the group covers the full coffee value chain, from green coffee sourcing and our own roasting factory to distribution, cafés, vending and service.
From a Passion for Espresso to a Multi-Sector Group
BB Company is a diversified, 100% family-owned group of companies headquartered in Tbilisi, Georgia, with close to 100 employees. We are the leading supplier of premium coffee, professional coffee equipment and vending solutions in Georgia, and we work with customers in more than ten countries, with our own warehouses in Georgia, Italy, Russia and the United States, including long-standing partnerships with clients in Russia for the supply of coffee and coffee machines.
Our founder, Alexander (Sandro) Beridze, discovered his passion for espresso while living in Italy. He returned to Georgia with a clear vision: to transform a market dominated by instant coffee into one that values real, high-quality coffee. In 1998 he began purchasing Tazza d’Oro coffee in Rome and distributing it across Georgia.
In 1998 we brought premium Italian coffee to Georgia for the first time, and in 2002 we became the exclusive distributor of illycaffè.
Demand for professional equipment followed. Exclusive partnerships with Rancilio, Egro and other leading manufacturers made us the region’s top seller of coffee machines. Today we are the exclusive representative of more than 30 European brands, and in 2005 we opened our technical training centre and barista courses. In 2009 we launched Georgia’s first vending operation.
In 2013 BB Company became a holding group. A year later we opened our own fully automated coffee factory in Tbilisi and launched our coffee brand, Mondo Coffee, followed by exports, starting with Russia and Azerbaijan, and private label production for brands worldwide. In 2017 we co-founded Georgian Retail Investments to bring the illycaffè café franchise to Georgia, and in 2026 we opened the first Mondo Coffee cafés.
We value the traditions of coffee, but we never stop innovating. Entrepreneurial at heart, BB Company has grown by 20–25% year on year since 2002, and that ambition has not changed.

Our Own Café Chain, Growing Fast
In February 2026 we opened the first Mondo Coffee café in Tbilisi, serving coffee roasted in our own factory. Four cafés are now open, a fifth opens in November and a sixth in December, and five more will follow in 2027, most of them in properties owned by BB Company.

Alexander (Sandro) Beridze
Sandro Beridze discovered his passion for espresso while living in Italy and became the first person to introduce premium Italian coffee to Georgia in the late 1990s. He went on to pioneer the country’s professional coffee machine business and personally founded almost every business area of BB Company, from distribution and vending to coffee production, the Mondo Coffee brand and its café chain in Georgia and the United States.
BB Company is 100% family-owned. Family ownership lets us take a long-term view, invest continuously in quality and build partnerships that have lasted more than twenty years.
